Wheel Throwing 12 & up

During the 8 week program, students will learn how to wedge and properly prepare a ball of stoneware. We will learn about the wire tool and wedging board, recycling clay and the many uses of slip. Students will learn how to master coning and centering their clay, how to lift even walls, shape their pieces, and later trim and finish their work. We will review the differences in clay bodies and glazing techniques as well. We will have 6 classes on the wheel, 2 classes reserved to glaze. All levels of experience welcome! Ages 12 & up | 8 wks
