    Ages 16 & up |$405| 8 weeks
    Class dates: 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21

    Using the three methods of hand-building: pinch, coil, and slab, students
    will develop strong techniques to create pieces in stoneware. Students will
    create functional pieces such as vases, containers, platters, and ceramic
    wares.

    Combo- Wheel & Sculpture
    Instructors: Karen Barley & Julia Vogelle
    Ages 16 & up |$405| 8 weeks

    Class dates: 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21

    This class is an intermediate to advanced wheel class with a focus on additional sculpture techniques in clay. Strong structural Design, color, texture, and balance will be implemented into each lesson.
    Students must be proficient on the wheel.

    ***Prerequisite: at least 2 wheel classes

    Please Note:
    You must have taken at least 2 previous wheel classes to take this class.

    Ages 16 & up |$405| 8 weeks

    Basic wheel-throwing techniques will be emphasized, from centering and
    shaping a vessel to creating various forms such as bowls, plates, etc.

    In this course, traditional hand-building techniques will be used to create functional and non-functional forms. Students will also learn techniques to achieve exciting surface finishes on their pieces.
