Local Long Island musicians and members of the Sound Symphony Orchestra, Harry Mulligan, Brit Schlude, and Drew Vella will be performing chamber works by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Vivaldi, and more. Harry Mulligan performs regularly as an oboist, most notably with the High Desert Winds of New Mexico. He is also a passionate educator, currently teaching private oboe lessons and substitute teaching. Brit Schlude is a cellist, back from Houston, TX after seven years of teaching middle school orchestra and performing as principle cello with the Houston Heights Orchestra and with the Cypress Philharmonic for the Houston Repertoire Ballet’s annual Nutcracker performances. He is a creative-type, keeping cello performance as a constant love in his life, while eagerly exploring the arts – including studying pottery at The Brick. Violist, Drew Vella, delights in performing a wide range of repertoire throughout New York and the tri-state area: from Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Broadway – to the UN, cafes, salsa studios, and house concerts. An advocate of expanding the repertoire for viola, Drew enjoys pioneering contemporary pieces, as well as personally transcribing and arranging classic works of literature for the viola.
