Glazing at the Brick
We will demonstrate glazing mugs, bowls, and plates using some of our favorite Brick glazes and glaze combinations, and we will bring fired examples to look at and discuss. We will also talk about design considerations and glaze decorating using resists and sponge stamps.  Most of the workshop will be demonstration and discussion. The last few minutes will be reserved for participants to start glazing their own work. Remember your glaze notebooks! Open Studio time follows this workshop.  Ages 16 & up | $40

Exploring Surface Design with Laura Peters
In this course, students will discover how various techniques can be combined to achieve exciting new exteriors on their pieces. Surface treatment will include drawing, carving, painting with underglazes and stains, water etching and sgraffito. Slab and coil construction is used to create hand-built forms using white cone 6 clay. Through discussion and demonstration, students will explore form, imagery, and narrative.
